Prizes galore at annual Keep Kilkenny Beautiful awards

Prizes have been handed out for this years Keep Kilkenny Beautiful Awards.

Some of the winners on the night were St Johns who won the Parish award, Melville Heights won best Large Housing Estate while Bishop Birch place won best smaller residential estate.

Best Private garden went to Noel and Caroline Carroll of Hazel Grove. ‘Yesterdays’ in Patrick Street won Best Shop Front.

The Fitzpatrick Perpetual Shield for Community Effort went to the Kilkenny Presbyterian Group

The Heroes in our Community Award was given to Marty Bambrick and Phylis O’ Rourke
while the Brendan Lawless Memorial Environmental Award went to Rothe House and Gardens

Kieran Fitzgerald who recently retired from Kilkenny Borough Council was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Council Cathaoirleach Mary Hilda Cavanagh, Mayor Joe Malone, Minister Ann Phelan and the new Chief Executive of Kilkenny county council were all in LangtonsĀ for the awards ceremony.
