Quarter of a million euro worth of cannabis seized in Borris

A man’s been arrested after a quarter of a million euros worth of drugs was seized in County Carlow.

A planned search of a house in Killedmond in Borris was carried out by the Carlow/Kilkenny Divisional Drugs Unit yesterday evening.

Gardai say a highly sophisticated and fully operational growhouse was discovered and cannabis plants worth an estimated two hundred and fifty thousand euro were seized.

A man in his 20’s was arrested and taken to Carlow Garda Station for questioning under the drug trafficking act.
