Carlow will travel to Dungarvan this Saturday night to take on Waterford in their second Allianz Football League Division 4 fixture of the season.
The game will be Waterford’s first outing of the campaign after their opening clash with Wicklow was postponed last weekend.
Fresh off a hard-fought draw with Tipperary, Carlow manager Shane Curran is focused on steady progress as his side looks to build momentum. Speaking after last Saturday’s game, Curran emphasized patience but also a drive to push forward.
“It’s about keeping with the process and understanding that Rome wasn’t built in a day, but we can accelerate the building,” he said. “You can do it by ensuring the players have confidence and we support them. I think you’ve seen again the attitude of the players was terrific and that’s the most important thing – result to follow.”
Carlow will be aiming for their first win of the league campaign, while Waterford will be eager to start their season on a positive note. The game will be live on KCLR, thanks to Dan Morrissey & Co., with full commentary from Dungarvan.
