A search is underway for teenage sisters who are missing from Carlow Town.
It’s the second time in a week for 14-year-old Helen McDonnell’s whereabouts to be unknown (more on that here), this time also missing is 13-year-old Melissa McDonnell.
Both are missing from Killeshin Road in Carlow since Monday evening.
Helen’s described as being 5ft 1 in height and of slight build with blue eyes and brown hair that has no parting. She was wearing a white vest top and blue denim jeans.
Melissa is of slim build, 5ft 1 in height with green eyes and brown hair and was wearing a black crop top and black shorts.
Gardaí are concerned for their safety and are seeking assistance in tracking them down – it is believed that both sisters may be in the Longford/Athlone areas.
