Kilkenny is definitely not a no-go area.
That’s the message from Gardaí ahead of the Royal visit tomorrow who say people should come out and be part of the occasion.
There will be road closures and restrictions around the city and in Thomastown – most of those will take effect from 5am on Thursday morning.
Today though the Canal Walk and Kilkenny Castle and its grounds are closed as part of the security measures.
