“Solve the issues before you create problems” that’s the view of one County Kilkenny councillor as draft development plans for Ballyragget and Paulstown passed for public consultation

Visions for the potential futures of two Kilkenny areas are to go on public display.

As part of the County Development Plan, towns and villages with a population under 5,000 are being looked at.

Johnstown and Urlingford previously underwent the microscope and this week Councillors of the Castlecomer Municipal District this week passed draft development plans for Ballyragget and Paulstown.

While representatives unanimously agreed on the move to send the outlines into the public domain for a month from Friday week (5th April), Cllr Michael McCarthy had some concerns regarding aspects of the Ballyragget one.
