St Luke’s Hospital for Carlow Kilkenny say under increased pressure in their A & E at the moment.
It follows figures that show that they have the 3rd highest amount of people on trolleys today and it was the same last Friday.
They say Mondays and Tuesdays are the busiest days of the week as patients are being referred to the hospital after going to their GP at the weekend and are seeing patients with a wide range of issues.
St. Luke’s has implemented their full escalation plan and are asking that non-emergency patients contact their GP or Care Doc first before coming to them
