Staff at St Patrick’s Kilkenny to be balloted for industrial action

More than one hundred and fifty staff at St Patrick’s Centre in Kilkenny City are to be balloted for industrial action over the coming weeks.

IMPACT, SIPTU and INMO members at the centre for those with disabilities, are said to be unhappy with a lack of communication from management.

Back in September of last year a number of employees were suspended as part of a health and safety investigation before being reinstated a week later.

IMPACT members are to be balloted from 5 o’clock this evening and Assistant General Secretary of the union, Shay Clinton told KCLR News staff are at the end of their tether.
