The Big Clean take place across Carlow and Kilkenny and people can register to take part

Carlow and Kilkenny may be landlocked but you can still play a part in protecting rivers and streams.

Starting today and running to Thursday volunteers in both counties can take part in the Big Beach Clean, an initative of the International Coastal Cleanup.

In 2024, over 95 tonnes of litter was removed from our coasts.

Environmental Awarness Officer with Carlow County Council Dee Sewell told KCLR News that everyone can get involved.
