This week’s Glanbia Farm Show included an interview with Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConologue. The Minister dealt with a range of subjects including Brexit, CAP, live exports and environmental issues.
Mark Slattery of Teagasc gave advice on silage quality, winter feeding regimes and health protocols during housing.
Pat O’Toole of the Irish Farmers Journal outlined the case for exporting calves by air freight. He also commented on the high prices being paid for beef breeding stock.
George Candler and Eric Driver delivered livestock price reports from Kilkenny and Tullow marts.
