Three people were helped to safety yesterday (Sunday) in two separate incidents in the region.
The South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association’s first call-out was just before 4pm to assist the National Ambulance Service with a fallen mountain runner who’d suffered a lower leg injury just below Holy Year Cross.
The person was helped down and transferred to an ambulance.
Shortly after, they were alerted at about 6:30pm to a father and son lost in fog in the Galtees with both helped safely to their car.
