Three units of the fire brigade turned up at a vacant property in County Kilkenny last night after smoke was spotted.
It was seen rising from the former Aperee Living / Strathmore Lodge Nursing Home in Callan, which hasn’t been in use for the past year, shortly after 8pm.

The incident was quickly brought under control and KCLR News understands no injuries were sustained.
