A Kilkenny photographer has won one of the most prestigious photography prizes in the world.
The Prix Pictet award worth €92,000, was announced by former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan.

He used a thermographic camera to record images of camps and staging posts occupied by refugees and migrants.
