Florence and the Machine are coming to Carlow!
Or at least their lead vocalist Florence Welch is – she heads the bill in an impressive line up for this years ‘Festival of writing and ideas’ at Borris House this summer.

She’ll be joined the likes of former President Mary Robinson, Writers Roddy Doyle, Sebastian Barry, Colm Toibín, Joanna Trollope and comedian Andrew Maxwell for a weekend of dialogue and discussion from June 9th to the 11th.
This is the sixth year of the festival which has welcomed the likes of Chrissie Hynde, Anne Enright, PJ Harvey and Tommy Tiernan in previous years.
