The annual Tour de Tirlán cycle one day event has evolved over the past 11 years, and leads cyclists, including Tirlán employees and farmer-suppliers, across four distances – 45km, 95km, 136km, and 201km. Since its inception, the total funds raised from this annual event to date stands at €401,000.

This year their chosen charity partner’s are, the mental health support organisation Aware, and local charities Simon South East Community, Cois Nore and Aiseiri.

Lisa O’Rourke is on the organising committee and told KCLR News this is a hugely important event and one the staff take very seriously ”We love giving back to our communities and to charities and it’s a huge part of what we do. It’s a very worthy charity cycle and all who can take part do.”

Donations to the appeal can be made on Tour de Tirlan 2024| Fundraising Event Ireland (idonate.ie)
