Co. Kilkenny locations among notable speeding areas as part of National Slow Down day

Notable speeding offences from national slow down day have been released by Gardaí, and Kilkenny features twice.

Gardaí were out in force across the country to combat speeding in Carlow, Kilkenny and nationwide.

A motorist was clocked doing 99km/h in and 80km/h zone on the N693 clashacrow, in Freshford yesterday.

While another driver was caught going 88km/h in a 60km/h zone on the N76, Parkmore in Kilkenny.

National slow down day ran for 24 hours – from 7am Friday to 7am this morning.

The Gardaí’s “Operation Slow Down” has caught 322 motorists breaking speed limits across the country.
