Two men are due in court on Monday, charged in connection with the biggest drugs seizure in the history of the State.
31 year old Jamie Harbron of South Avenue, Billingham, Stockton-On-Tees, in the UK, and 60 year old Ukrainian national Vitaliy Lapa, of no fixed abode, were remanded in custody last night at Waterford District Court.
They will appear before Wexford District court on Monday, via video link, charged with conspiracy to import drugs.
Meanwhile
Another person has been arrested in connection with the multi-million euro drug seizure off the coast of Cork on Tuesday.
Gardai say the man was arrested earlier today for alleged organised crime offences.
This brings the total number of people arrested following the 157 million euro drug seizure to eight.
