A two-week nationwide inspection campaign gets underway on farms today
The campaign, by the Health and Safety Authority, will focus on working at height in agricultural settings and will target both small and large farms across the country.
There have been 191 fatalities on Irish farms over the past ten years, with working at heights and falls contributing to 22 of these deaths.
During their farm visits, HSA inspectors will be reminding farmers of the serious risks involved in any work at height.
