Walkers across Carlow and Kilkenny will take to local routes this morning for the seventh annual Alzheimer’s Memory Walk.
Organised by the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, the nationwide family-friendly event aims to raise funds for local dementia services while honouring loved ones living with or lost to the condition.
Two local five-kilometre walks are taking place across Carlow and Kilkenny.
In Carlow, walkers are gathering at Oak Park while in Kilkenny, participants will meet just inside Switzer’s Gate on Castle Road before setting off through Kilkenny Castle Park with both setting off at 11am.
