Water won’t be turned off just yet for residents of a Knocktopher housing estate

There’s some temporary relief for residents of a Knocktopher housing estate with news that their water supply won’t be turned off just yet.

Last week KCLR reported that those living in Whites Castle were told the ESB were going to cut off the supply to their water pump because the estate’s owners couldn’t pay the bill.

However, following a meeting earlier this week, South Eastern Construction have agreed to foot the next electricity bill.

And it’s understood the council are now working on a long-term solution.
