Kilkenny forward Mossy Keoghan has urged Cats supporters to pack out Parnell Park this Sunday as Derek Lyng’s side prepare for a huge Leinster Championship showdown with Dublin.
Kilkenny know a win would secure their place in the Leinster final and guarantee qualification for the All-Ireland series, while Dublin come into the game full of confidence after an impressive championship campaign so far.
Speaking to KCLR at an Avonmore event in Croke Park, the Tullaroan man said Kilkenny are expecting a serious battle from the hosts.
“Dublin are a physical team so it probably suits them to have Parnell Park as their home pitch,” Keoghan said.
“We are just going to have to match and bring our own twist on the game, we need to be at our best.”
With huge demand expected for tickets, Keoghan also called on Kilkenny supporters to travel in numbers and help drive the team on in what could be one of the defining games of their season.
“It is one we are looking forward to, and the supporters have been really great to us all year,” he added.
“I know it might be tricky to get tickets, with Dublin on a high at the moment, but we definitely need the support. Hopefully we can give them something to shout about.”
