We’ll find out today if Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford will be named European Capital of Culture 2020

We’ll find out this afternoon if the three sisters have been successful in their bid for the title of European Capital of Culture 2020.

Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford are in the running for the title – which will be announced at Midday.

Today is D-Day for the three sisters as Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford bid for the European Capital of Culture 2020 title.

The winner will be announced at Midday this afternoon in Dublin.

Presentations were made to the judges yesterday afternoon, as the three sisters made their final plea for the bid.

Judges were in Kilkenny earlier this week, they visited the Collective for arts talent in Callan amongst other places and finished at Kilkenny National Craft Gallery with the Presentation Girls School Choir performing a farewell recital.

The winner of the European Capital of Culture will be announced this afternoon, however the three sisters are also going up against Galway and Limerick for the title.
