One person’s dead following a single car crash in Co Waterford.
It happened at about 10:15pm last night (Monday, 19th February) on the R685 at Quillia in Tramore, County Waterford.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a woman aged in her twenties, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her body has since been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The route is closed with local diversions in place while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct an examination of the scene this morning (Tuesday 20th February 2024).
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, in particular those with any kind of footage.
