Work underway to dismantle two buildings under ‘Dangerous Structure Notice’ in Carlow town

Carlow town’s waking up to a slightly different skyline. 

Two buildings at Shamrock Square which were damaged by fire in 2008 were issued with a Dangerous Structure Notice by the county council recently with a declaration last week that a move would be underway to demolish them by tomorrow.

That began yesterday and it appears the bulk of it was finished earlier this morning as Mayor Paul Doogue outlines;
