A Carlow family has collected a cheque for 2.4 million euro at Lotto headquarters.
The family syndicate has opted to remain anonymous but National Lottery confirmed to KCLR news that they claimed their prize yesterday.
They did say they would spend the money on paying off mortgages, going on holidays and giving money to a number of local charities, and sports clubs in the Carlow area.
The winning ticket was sold in SuperValu on Kennedy Avenue last Wednesday.
Manager of the store Dave O’ Brien told KCLR News he’s delighted that locals have won it.
