A local councillor says what was once “a very proud little community” in South Kilkenny has been almost completely neglected by the council over the past number of years.
A delegation from the Newrath Road Residents Group will be addressing their local representatives at this morning’s meeting of the Piltown Municipal District.
Councillor Tomás Breathnach says the Newrath Road used to be a very busy area on the main approach into Waterford before the motorway was built and opened and that road became a cul de sac.
He told KCLR News it used to be a beautiful stretch but says there have also been a number of anti-social behaviour issues.
