In both incidents they broke in through the roof
Gardaí are on the hunt for a number of people after two what have been described as “sophisticated burglaries” were carried out this week.
Between 4.30am and a 5.15am on Monday morning two men wearing boiler suits broke in through the roof of Borris Service Station in Carlow and stole a large quantity of cigarettes.
Another business was also hit sometime before 8am that morning when again, the roof of the Railway Garage in Castlecomer was broken.
There were at least four people involved there.
Sergeant Michelle Byrne says in light of these incidents it’s hugely important all businesses check their alarm systems now.
