Waterways Ireland confident planning permission for Barrow towpath developments will be granted

A series of public information events continues today and tomorrow in Laois and Kildare

Waterways Ireland says it wants to reassure people with concerns over their plans to develop the Barrow Towpath.

A series of public information events continues today and tomorrow in Laois and Kildare. There was one in Graiguenamanagh on Tuesday and in Carlow yesterday.

KCLR spoke with John Boyle, Director of Business Development with Waterways Ireland about people’s worries over the development and the impact it will have on the area while its under construction.

He said it will all be done in line with the environmental analysis they have already completed and they fully expect planning permission to be granted.
