Ten people have been arrested in Carlow drugs raids.
Cannabis with an estimated street value of about €3,000 was been seized in Carlow Town in one early-morning raid while an imitation firearm and other weapons have been found in another search just south of Carlow town this evening.
It’s part of Operation Clave which saw 23 people arrested in Kilkenny on Monday.
The ongoing operation – which has been underway since last February – involved covert surveillance and undercover drugs buys.
Gardai identified a total of 14 targets in involved in the sale or supply of illegal drugs on the Streets of Carlow and are hoping to work their way up the food chain to some of the bigger players operating in the area.
Superintendent Gerry Redmond told KCLR this operation was based on a lot of work and was focused on local drug dealers.
