Members of three unions working at St Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny staged a protest outside the hospital this afternoon.
It’s one of a series of lunchtime demonstrations by members of Forsa, the INMO and SIPTU – organised in response to the HSE’s ‘suppression of thousands of frontline health posts’.
Nicola Hurley is Quality and Risk Assessor of the maternity unit in St Lukes and also INMO branch secretary for Kilkenny told The KCLR Daily “The HSE pausing recruitment is not safe for patients”.
