An animal rescue group have condemned what’s been described as the “barbaric” and “horrendous” killing of a dog on Mount Leinster at the weekend.
South East Animal Rescue posted photos of the Shepherd-cross on their facebook page yesterday morning.
They say the animal had been shot in the head and strung up by an s-hook through his hind legs.
Speaking to KCLR today, Jackie Polson from Animal Rescue says he had been strategically placed, probably as a warning to dog owners.
