Over 10 million euro was collected from homeowners in Carlow and Kilkenny in Local Property Tax last year.
In Kilkenny 7.3 million was collected from an estimated 36,100 properties.
This is up from the year before when 7.2 million was paid by 35,900 properties.
Meanwhile, in Carlow the figures from 2015 and 2016 are much the same.
22 thousand 400 properties in the county paid up 3.8 million euro both last year and the year before.
Commenting on the publication of the latest LPT statistics, Collector-General Michael Gladney said that the majority of homeowners across the country are fully compliant.
