14 local organisations to share in massive €35,000 raised by Kilkenny Lions Club

More local groups are benefiting from the funds raised by Kilkenny Lions Club last year than in any other year.

14 organisations will be sharing in €35,000 which was raised during their hamper appeal that was done in association with KCLR last December.

This was the 23rd year of the appeal and the beneficiaries will be presented with their cheques at an event in Bollard’s on Kieran Street in the city this evening.

The Cathaoirleach and the Mayor will do the honours at this evening’s event.

Speaking to KCLR News, Philip O’Neill from Kilkenny Lions Club says they’ve included a wide range of organisations across the county and all the groups benefiting will get some time to speak about their projects this evening.
