There are 15 people waiting for a bed at St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny this lunchtime.
Nationally, there are over 400 people on Trolley’s at hospitals across the country.
South Tipperary Geneal Hospital is the most overcrowded with 36 people in need of a bed – according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
University Hospital Limerick is next with 30 people on trolleys and overflow areas of wards.
