17 drivers detected holding a mobile phone by Gardaí in Kilkenny city

17 motorists were detected holding mobile phones while driving through Kilkenny city in one day alone. 

The local Roads Policing Unit was out in force yesterday.

They say in a social media posting “That’s 51 penalty points issued and 2,040 Euro in fines”.

And they remind those getting behind the wheel of a vehicle “Get the point not the points”.
