27 arrests so far as Operation Storm hits Kilkenny

Gardaí in Kilkenny have made 27 arrests under Operation Storm this week.

The four-day operation will draw to a close today and 10 people have been charged this morning with criminal activity.

Superintendent Pádraig Dunne told KCLR Live this morning there’s been some significant drugs seizures made as well:

“We had €15,000 worth of drugs recovered as well as cash to the amount of €1,500 but there have been substantial drug seizures in heroin and cannabis in the Castlecomer area and also a grow-house there.

“In Ballyragget there’s been a large recovery of cannabis and in Kilkenny City itself we’ve had an operation to recover cannabis and cash. Also, in the village of Paulstown, there have been drug seizures.”
