Locals waiting more than 30 years for a new stretch road between Ballyragget & Durrow will be glad to hear the funding needed for the project has been sanctioned.
4 million euro was granted for the works at Ballinaslee on the road between the Glanbia plant and Durrow.

The initial works there started 2 years ago but the council were awaiting news of this funding before the main realignment works could proceed.
The existing road will remain for local access but a brand new 2km stretch will be constructed in the area.
