More than 70 families now being housed in former Carlow ghost estate

74 local families are now being housed in a former ghost estate.
Fruithill Manor is a scheme that’s been developed by Co-operative Housing Ireland in partnership with the councils in Laois and Carlow.
The estate is in Co Laois but falls under Carlow county councils administration and is being formally launched this week.
There’s a mix of private and and local authority housing in the development.
Dermot Sellers of Co-operative Housing Ireland says their involvement came about after Nama took it over.
