The Oireachtas committee on implementing the Good Friday agreement will hear this evening how it’ll be affected by the UK Brexit vote.
The Joint Committee, which is Chaired by local Sinn Fein TD Kathleen Funchion, is meeting to hear from the North’s Finance Minister and from our Foreign Affairs Minister Charlie Flanagan.
They’ll be talking about the impact of the Brexit on the North’s economy, trade, tourism and cross-border workers.
Deputy Funchion says it is crucial we find out as much as we can about the possible ramifications of Britain leaving the EU and the change to it’s relationship with Ireland.
