Organisers of last years ‘Team Hope’ Shoebox Appeal in Carlow are hopeful of surpassing last year’s record of 4,000 boxes, this year.

Shoebox gifts have been donated to over 3,000,000 children in some of the remotest and poorest parts of the world.

They will be fundraising and handing out wrapped shoeboxes next Saturday at the Farmers Market in Carlow for this years appeal .

Sandy Duane is a volunteer with Team Hope and she says they want to raise awareness of what they really need, such as toothpaste, soap and stationary.
