Two follow-up searches carried out in Bagenalstown by Gardaí investigating an alleged sexual assault

Two follow up searches have been carried out in Bagenalstown by Gardaí investigating an alleged sexual assault earlier this week.

A 14-year-old girl alleges she was assaulted while attending a Halloween bonfire in the Father Cummins Park area on Monday night, into the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Investigating Gardaí have carried out two follow up searches in Bagenalstown in the last two days.

No-one has been arrested, investigations are ongoing and anyone with information is being urged to come forward.
