Kilkenny Councillor Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere is being praised for getting new railings installed in Fairview in Graiguenamanagh.
The new railings were put in place earlier this week, after a long campaign to have them changed.

Councillor Cleere has been receiving much praise on social media over the past few days.
And speaking to KCLR, he says the old ones were a serious health and safety issue.
