A public meeting is being held in Piltown tonight as locals look for something to be done about that junction of the N24.
It comes after pensioner Denis Walsh lost his life on that stretch of road on the 1st of December, after his car and a lorry collided.
Locals living in the area fear another life could be lost on the road, unless something is done to change the junction – that they say isn’t properly signposted.
The meeting takes place in the Community Hall in Piltown at 8 o’clock this evening.
Robert Duggan is chairman of the Community Alert in Piltown, he told KCLR news that the junction should be closed.
