As Christmas fast approaches, the free parking has once again been rolled out in a number of areas around Kilkenny City and Carlow Town to encourage people to spend their money in local businesses.
In Kilkenny; County Hall, just off John’s Street – which has 130 parking spaces – will be open and free to use each Saturday and Sunday up to Christmas from 8.30 in the morning to 6.30 in the evening.
It’ll also be free on the 27th and 28th of December.
Parking at the Market Yard carpark will cost you nothing from today until Thursday of this week between 9am and 12 noon as well as on Christmas day and on the 28th.
Meanwhile in Carlow, all Pay and Display parking is free between 8.30 and 11 in the morning, and again between 3 and 6.30 pm every day this month.
Elsewhere in the town, you can park for nothing in the Town Hall carpark, the Bus Park, Green Bank Road, and Visual.
