Minister Simon Coveney has now been invited in person to visit the part of South Kilkenny at the centre of a so-called “land-grab”.
The Minister had been due in Kilkenny to meet with Fine Gael councillors on Tuesday to discuss concerns over the Waterford boundary extension but had to cancel due to Dail committments
However a group of Fianna Fail councillors took it upon themselves to meet the Minister and travelled to Leinster House yesterday to do just that.
Slieverue Councillor Ger Frisby says they got a good hearing.
