NTA says rural areas won’t be left behind if services to Bus Éireann are cut

A local TD says she’s hoping that public pressure will stop Bus Éireann from going ahead with their planned axing of the X7 service from Clonmel to Dublin.

The service that goes through Callan and Kilkenny City is to end on Sunday the 2nd of April.

It had been due to end earlier this month but that was put on hold while the company was in the Workplace Relations Commission.

Now Deputy Kathleen Funchion has told KCLR that she’s to meet with the head of the National Transport Authority, Ann Graham next Wednesday morning in Leinster House.
