Councillors in Carlow will be presented with an update on the current housing situation in the county today.
The information is contained in the CEO’s report for the month of March.
Work has begun on 24 houses on the Royal Oak Road in Bagenalstown, 10 houses in Rathvilly, five apartments in Graigcullen and one rural cottage in Tullow.
Four houses in Mount Leinster Park are at the tender recommendation phase – and four houses at Pound Lane in Borris are at the construction phase.
16 houses in St Patrick’s Park in Tullow are before the department of the environment.
Meanwhile, the council are also in the process of buying 38 houses, and that process is said to be ‘ongoing’.
All of the dwellings listed in the report have completion dates of 2017 and 2018.
