Kilkenny families prepare to open their homes to Chernobyl children once again

Almost 20 families in Kilkenny will welcome victims of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster later this week.

They’ll arrive at Shannon Airport on Friday.

The children are part of a group of 135, all with serious illnesses and disabilities, that will spend a month with their Kilkenny families to rest and recover.
