Motion by Carlow/Kilkenny TD seeking support for early years childcare staff passed

A motion brought by a local Dáil Deputy seeking support for early years childcare staff has been passed unanimously in the Dáil.

Kathleen Funchion addressed her colleagues in the Dáil chamber yesterday evening while Childcare representatives looked on from the public gallery.

She says she hopes support for the motion will help pave the way for better pay and working conditions in the sector.

Addressing the Dáil Deputy Funchion appealed to the Children’s Minister to consider the matter when it comes to Budget 2018.
