A Kilkenny Councillor has today been appointed as chair of the Southern Regional Assembly.
Fine Gael Councillor John Brennan was elected to the role at the Assembly’s new headquarters in Waterford earlier.
It’s one of three assemblies in the Republic with 33 councillors from the local authorities in Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford, Tipperary, Cork, Limerick, Clare and Kerry.
